Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Primota, whether you're browsing events, buying tickets, or selling on the platform as an organizer or agency. By using Primota you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Accounts
Buyers sign in with a one-time link sent to their email — there's no password to manage. Sellers create an account with a business email and password, which must be kept secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. Seller accounts are reviewed before they can start listing, and we may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
3. Buying tickets
Each ticket is sold by an independent seller — an event organizer, agency or promoter — not by Primota itself. Buying a ticket is an agreement between you and that seller, under their event's conditions. Selecting a ticket reserves it for a short window to complete payment; if payment isn't completed in time, the reservation is released. Prices are shown all-in, in Ugandan shillings, and your ticket is valid only for the event, date and holder it was issued to.
4. Payments
Payments are processed through PesaPal, supporting mobile money (MTN, Airtel) and card. Primota does not store your full card or mobile money credentials — that's handled by PesaPal's secure payment page. You're responsible for ensuring your payment details are accurate.
5. Refunds and cancellations
If an event is cancelled or materially changed, refund rights follow the seller's stated policy and applicable law. Refund requests should go through our support team, who will help resolve them with the seller.
6. Selling on Primota
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for delivering the events they list, and must comply with applicable Ugandan law. Primota charges a commission on each ticket sold, deducted automatically at the rate shown on our pricing page at the time of sale; the recurring partner plan also carries a one-time partner fee, and the one-time plan a listing fee charged per event. Payouts of a seller's earned balance are made to the mobile money or bank details the seller provides. We may suspend a seller account for fraud, repeated cancellations, or breach of these terms.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Primota — no fraud, ticket touting in breach of a seller's resale rules, tampering with tickets or accounts, or interfering with the service. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Liability
Primota is a marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers. We work to keep listings accurate and tickets valid, but we are not the organizer of any event sold on the platform, and our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as Primota grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of Primota means you accept the current terms.
